Our story is deeply rooted in this land. Paul and Joleen Cyr purchased the ranch in May of 2019 from Paul’s parents, Helen and Clarence Cyr, who established and nurtured it since 1975. Decades of stewardship, hard work, and dedication have shaped this place into what it is today, and we’re honoured to carry that legacy forward.
We are located just south of Pincher Creek, in one of the most beautiful corners of the province—rolling foothills, open skies, and a short drive from the stunning Waterton area. It’s a place where ranching feels not just like a job, but a way of life.
At our family ranch, we take pride in raising high-quality Wagyu beef and goats, offering both meat and live animals to customers who value locally raised, well-cared-for livestock. We are also proud producers of premium sainfoin hay—an exceptional feed choice for livestock thanks to its rich nutritional value and its natural ability to prevent bloat. Our animals thrive on it, and yours will too.
We bring specialized expertise to our operation through artificial insemination services for cattle, helping us maintain strong genetics and support producers looking to improve their herds.
At Valley Blue Ranch, we believe in treating our animals with respect and care, while also being responsible stewards of the land. The ranching lifestyle is truly what we love. It’s early mornings, long days, changing seasons, and the kind of hard work that feels meaningful because it’s done together, as a family, on land we’re proud to call home. We look forward to sharing what we raise and grow with our customers, and we thank you for supporting our family ranch.
